Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Reflecting on what you’re thankful for is a big part of the holiday, but why not use it as (another) way to introduce activity throughout the school day, whether at home or in school. Read through these fun Thanksgiving-themed activities and put some gobble in your wobble this holiday!

Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt

Things you’ll need:

  • Pen/Pencil
  • Paper

On a sheet of paper, write 20 things you’re thankful for that you’d be able to find around the house. Then, go find the items you wrote on your list! Some examples for this fun Thanksgiving activity are a pet, a person in the house, a favorite picture, etc.

Turkey Hunt

What you’ll need:

  • 5 household objects
  • Timer

Find 5 household objects to hide around the house. Depending how many players, you can either set a time for the player to find all the objects, or the person who finds the most objects wins.

Turkey Trot

What you’ll need:

  • Pen/Pencil
  • Paper

Write out the word TURKEY. Under each letter, write a verb that you will then act out. For example, under “T” write the word Tap. After all letters have a verb written underneath, you will then act out the verbs in order. Repeat this activity a few more times to create your favorite pattern.
